Vierstraete
This kitchen is part of a house by the renowned Belgian architect Juliaan Lampens. The owners of this impressive home longed for a new kitchen with a contemporary feel that fits the existing architecture, yet without copying the signature style of the architect. The position of the kitchen had to be preserved and the layout options were limited.
We opted for colors and materials that nod to Lampens’ body of work: pine wood, stained in several
hues, combined with a warm-red concrete countertop. A new concept for the layout and details bring a
new zest to this graceful space.
