House C & M

These clients bought a house from the 60s, never renovated before. It is a typical city house from that time. The house has a limited ground surface, but extends over 5 floors. The challenge was to develop a complete new concept, without changing the typical character and qualities. The original layout was kept, all walls and spaces were preserved. However, the guest studio, kitchen and bathrooms were completely renovated and reconfigured.
A material concept was carefully designed, with respect for the existing materials. White HPL serves as a neutral base, the brown-grey natural stone is used throughout the house. Warm rosewood veneer in the joinery and details puts a nostalgic layer over it. In addition, the concept is complemented by fresh colors in the bathroom and a warm beige in the kitchen.
