Museum M
Fragmenture won the tender for a new shop and bar in the museum. The new concept is based on the existing architecture and scenography, but revamped with new, fresh interior elements. The architecture of Museum M is stately and grand. The new bar will add playful, homely, colourful and tactile elements to this beautiful setting. The hospitality function will serve in combination with a new book shop. The museum wants to merge those two features in order to generate a larger attraction.
A light and warm shade of yellow will be the base colour for the new interior. This striking hue attracts and radiates warmth. The display units are made out of russet okoumé wood, the same type of wood as is found in the museum scenography. Brass tubes, terrazzo table tops and black accents add a subtle sophistication to the concept.
